ESSENTIAL OILS

The virtues of baths with benefits of essential oils

A bath with essential oils should last at least 15 minutes to be effective.  Do not extend your stay in the bath beyond this limit. The bath helps to relax body muscles and soothes nervous tension.  Dilute 3-5 drops of essential oil of your choice in a tablespoon of vegetable oil (Sweet Almond, Grape Seed, Avocado, Jojoba or other (see our carrier oil selection)).  Pour this mixture into a filled tub of water at maximum temperature of 38 °C.  Stir the water to incorporate your composition before entering.

Essential oils in diffusion:

See our selection of ultrasonic diffusers.

Some essential oils can be used in atmospheric diffusion through a diffuser (example: 10 minutes 3 times a day) or use a spray mist to cleanse and purify the atmosphere of your interior but also to create a desired atmosphere (relaxation, friendliness, sensuality …) or simply to scent a room.  You can also create an ambiance spray, use as a pillow mist or as an insect repellent by mixing your essential oils with alcohol in a spray bottle.

Tips:

• Diffuse only pure essential oils such as our superior quality DuSenza brand.

• Avoid leaving essential oils too long in a diffuser as they can oxidize and thicken.  Regularly clean your diffuser.

• Do not diffuse more than 5 minutes in a child’s room.

Essential oils use in everyday life :

The essential oils must be diluted in a vegetable oil (DuSenza oils: Sweet Almond, Argan, Avocado, Emu, Jojoba, Grape Seed and more…) before applying on the skin.  Always test a small area on you skin with the blend to make sure your skin tolerates the oils and no rashes occur.

Massage oil recipe:

Headache relief massage: massaging the temples and nape of neck can be very effective.  In 50ml of vegetable oil, add 3 drops of essential oil of Peppermint, 1 drop of essential oil of Eucalyptus and 6 drops of Lavender essential oil.

Anti-Stress Massage Oil:  Pour 15 drops of each oil (Lavender and Geranium) in 50 ml of vegetable oil and mix until well blended.

Several essential oils can be used in cooking, however some are more appropriate than others.  Used hot or cold, essential oils bring a refined and subtle flavor to your oils, dishes or desserts.  One to two drops are enough to flavor a dish in an original and sustainable way.  We recommend to dissolve the essential oil in fat or oil before incorporating to your recipe.
